The only question is going to be whether the laker bench can step up. I would like to see la and miami in the championship. It would be great kobe going for sixth and lbj going for the back to back. This season is going to be intense with the lakers making moves and no team really being weak.

Good point. The lakers bench is very thin. They do have 3 key guys in Matt Barnes, Steve Blake, and ramon sessions though. Steve Blake serves as that second playmaker behind Steve Nash. Matt Barnes and Ramon sessions are sparks of energy that can boost scoring and defensive intensity. These three guys cannot be the only major role players though. Someone else will have to step up or the lakers management will have to make some moves on the market.

Well the free agent market is very slim now that most of the signing is done. What they really need is a good backup pf for pau gasol.

The free agent market is very slim. They would most likely have to make a trade unless they can find a diamond in the rough. A good fit for the lakers might be a Chris Andersen or a deandre Jordan. There's been no word of trade talks but those would be 2 guys that might fit the bill.
